Happy Jupiter Day!
I hope you’re all doing and feeling great!
Today is Thursday and usually I’ll post something makeup related but I could not gather myself to do my makeup this week for today so I thought why not show you my skincare products? I mean, it’s still beautyrelated so.. yeah. Skincare is essential when it comes to makeup and makeup application as we all know and, in my opinion, THEE actual foundation. Skincare, especially skincare products, is another area that I’ve had a big interest in but it can be and get pretty expensive so I stay in my lane and go for more affordable skincare products but one of these days, I shall indulge in the more expensive ones that seems to be on everyones lips.
For reference I have oily/combination skin with the standard oily T-zone and normal cheeks and chin. I have been blessed with the fact that I’ve never had to deal with acne or even pimples. No rosacea, eczema etc. and I thank my lucky planet!
Also, I wash my face every night and every two days in the morning and spf every day.

CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water 295 ML 129:- / $15 / €13
CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion 236 ML 119:- / $14 / €12
Not pictured is my SPF which is the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Light SPF 50+ 50 ML for 179:-. I forgot that it had run out.
Yesterday I bought the oil cleanser when I scrolled through the webshop (should’ve bought the spf as i ordered the cleanser but I forgot that too as usual) and saw that CeraVe had released a new cleanser and I had to order it. It looked so juicy. Ordered it at 2.30pm and got a message that I could pick it up at around 4pm and grrl was I happy! I tried it for the first time that same night and my skin? Smooth. Summer? Beer. Hotel? Trivago. It contains squalane which explains the soft feeling on my face after washing it. It’s for normal to very dry skin and can also be used for babies and atopic-prone skin but my oily/combination feel seemed to love it even after just on try.
Before I only used the regular foaming cleanser, micellar water and lotion. April of this year is when I began to use acids, specifically mandelic acid and azelaic acid. It's important to know to NOT use both acids at the same time. This is my skincare routine:
CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water, CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion and La-Roche Posay spf, in this exact order.
CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, acids and CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion, in this exact order. As I mentioned earlier, do not use both acids at the same time for fucks sake. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I use The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10%. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I use The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%. I let my skin breath and just be on Saturdays. I prefer to mix the azelaic acid in with my lotion (two pea sizes of lotion with one pea size of acid) and it still work really great when usually you have to layer it with the acid going on first and the lotion second. That's how I use the mandelic acid where I actually layer it since this specific acid has to sit on the face for 15-20 minutes before adding anything else on top of it.
I'm not gonna lie. You see my face masks but in all honesty, I suck at using them. I do not have the patience but when I do I mix these two and slather them all over my face. As simple as that!
And that's it! As you can see I prefer to keep my skincare routine pretty simple. Although there's a lot of skincare products out there that I want to try, I also prefer to use a very limited amount f products on my face at the same time. As you've noticed, no I do not use a toner. Maybe I should but it's been working for me so far without one. If you have any recommendations please feel free to share them with me. It's all appreciated! I also don't use eye creams but I don't believe in them. I feel like they're just like any other moisturizing lotion and cream but in a smaller pack and it's been working great without one so far. But who knows, maybe in the future I'll find one that's gonna really blow my mind but for now, I'm fine without it. All products, except for the face masks, are bought at Kronans Apotek which is a Swedish pharmaceutical webshop. The face masks I bought at Åhléns. By the way, this post is not sponsored, gifted or an AD in any way, shape or form.
I hope you continue to have an amazing week and take care!
