A few days ago I was browsing through the internet for some makeup- and skincare products, adding items to my cart and not actually buying them, as one does. I was looking at the prizes and thought about the "prize of beauty". Not so much the money we spend on different items and products but injections, surgery, makeup, skincare etc. and what we put ourselves through in the name of beauty. I myself use makeup and obvioulsly skincare products and have no desire or intention in getting surgery or any form of injection and I thought to myself wow, I wonder how much my face costs? And then I started to do the math and uhmmmm.. yeah wow. It definetly made me appreciate my products even more because damn bitch. So I thought to share this somewhat heart attack-inducing finding with you AND to see if I’m the only one who’ve had this thought. If yes, did you awaken your math skills and what amount did you come up with?
I researched the prizes and converted the amount to USD and EUR from SEK and I went with the prizes listed on Åhléns website. Åhléns is a Swedish department store completely filled with items and products for your home, decor, fragrances, clothes foe women, men, youths and kids/babys and of course all things beauty. They carry most of the biggest beauty brands in the world such as Dior, YSL, Dolce & Gabbana, Kiehls, MAC, NYX Professional Makeup, Max Factor, Maréna Beauté and Anastasia Beverly Hills to name a very VERY few. I love it there!

As you see, I didn’t include brushes and makeup sponges since I didn’t feel that it was relevant to the post. Here you have the end result:
And the total ended up being 1895:-/$220/€186!!!! I was shook as the kids say these days. I almost had the same meltdown that Phoebe had in Central Perk when she found out that Rachel wanted to continue living with Joey.
This was fun and I’m already considering doing this again but with skincare which, I can say in advance, will be much cheaper. What amount did you get? Comment down below, this was interesting and fun. And it made me reconsider my item bag filled with makeup- and skincare products. Maybe I should buy them. Yolo or whatever, right? I guess if someone would try to rob me it would be more beneficial for them to just snatch my face. Ed Gein-style? I’ll let myself out..
